EU Consultation on the Evaluation of the state aid rules

ESOA welcomes the opportunity to provide a contribution to the EU Public Consultation on the the Evaluation of the state aid rules for the deployment of broadband networks.

Satellite systems can provide communications in geographical areas where no other technologies are available. Satellite communications platform have significantly increased their performance in the last 5 years and are now able to contribute and deploy NGA or NGN networks. State aid can be instrumental in facilitating the adoption of satellite solutions to fill in the digital gap in Europe.
