Global VSAT Forum (GVF)

ESOA cooperates regularly with GVF on spectrum matters - GVF was founded in 1997 and headquartered in London. GVF’s aim is to facilitate expanded access to satellite-based connectivity solutions globally, which is achieved through regulatory, policy and spectrum advocacy; training and certification; product quality assurance; and collaboration with user groups and other satellite stakeholders.

International Telecommunications Union (ITU)

ESOA’s satellite operators obtain orbital slots and the right to use certain frequencies from the ITU, which works primarily on international frequency allocation and frequency coordination matters. In 2015, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between ESOA and the ITU to ensure a closer collaboration.
